What's Going On?!

I know some are feeling a bit discouraged right now about raising the money to go with the team this year. The economy continues to tighten everyone's belts and many of us are wondering where the funds are going to come from (Megan and I included). I want to encourage each of you to continue seeking God in prayer about this year.

I don't know what this year's team is going to look like and I don't know where the money is going to come from, but I do know that God is in control. He has a plan for what He wants to do this year and He has the resources to accomplish His will. The only remaining ingredients are obedience on our part and our peaceful surrender to His purpose.

Thoughts on Whether to Go or Not...

Today at church, we had our first meeting for anybody interested in being a part of the Bulgaria Servant Team this year. We had 15 people in attendance and another two have expressed interest but were unable to attend. Possibly, others are considering going as well. Now, we wait in prayer to see who God has chosen to go. As each of us contemplates whether we will go, I want to challenge each potential team member to consider several things:

This Sunday, February 28, we will be holding a meeting after service at Calvary Chapel Bullhead City to talk about this year's Servant Trip to Bulgaria. Pastor Chuck has asked that everyone who is even interested in the trip attend to learn more. With that in mind, I ask you to consider... Are you called to serve in Bulgaria? Could it be that God would use you as a member of our team to bring encouragement and support to our family overseas?
